20 months have passed since this interview with NTV News. The Canopy Growth deal was rank with Liberal cronyism then and still is today.

In April 2019, I warned that the driving force behind the Canopy Growth deal was the lining of the wallets of Liberal insiders, not jobs and growth at all. Now we see the end result of anonymous numbered companies doing business with our Provincial Government.

Once again, Liberal cronies and numbered companies continue to benefit from the Canopy Growth deal and our people do not!

There needs to be a proper accounting of how Government is spending Public money. The $41.5 million dollars was supposed to be a good news event telling us how many jobs were being created. Instead, whithin hours, we find out about 75 families that are out of work weeks before Christmas. The workers of this Province deserve better!

When the result within hours of a supposed good news announcement results in 75 families losing a job, you have to wonder... is Furey asleep at the wheel?

What the Premier said at his swearing in is drastically different than what he said yesterday. I've always been clear. I will always fight for the people of our province and the jobs that we so desperately need.

If I were Premier of the province, I'd be on a plane to Ottawa and I would not leave until I had a deal. Failure for us as a province, on the future of the offshore, is not an option.
