Online Ice Booking!!! Effective immediately, all members of the Chester Curling Club can book their practice ice on line. No more driving to the club to book ice in the ice book; in fact, there will no longer be an ice book. We are honouring ice booked in the ice book until the end of Sunday, February 14 and the book will be available in the club to reserve a time slot up until then. All reservations for practice sessions taking place on February 15 or later must be booked ...on line using the process below. Go to the club website, log in and, under your Member Menu, you will find the link to make a booking. Only the sheets and times that are still available will be shown on the system for you to book. Once you have submitted your request, it will be reviewed by the Ice Coordinator and approved. The member requesting the ice will receive a confirmation email once it has been approved. Approvals will be made on a first come, first served basis. Ice is available in 1 hour allotments, and back to back times can be requested. Members can book 1 sheet at a time, from 3 to 14 days in advance. Non Member coaches can book by emailing Dale Rafuse at [email protected], to request times. This is a new system, there may be glitches, please have patience. We are volunteers.

Hey Chester members we are hosting an Ice King School! Saturday February 13, 8:30-9:30 Would you like to learn how to run The Ice King? Ken Johnston has volunteered to teach us to shave the ice (which is done usually every day) and is vital to having great ice. Remember, many hands make lighter work for all!... If you are interested, please register by emailing Dale Rafuse at [email protected]

January 24, 2021 League Play Resumes Great news! Beginning tomorrow, Monday January 25, we will be able to resume game play at the club for at least the next two weeks. ... We have reviewed the revised COVID-19 Facility Operation Plan that we issued on October 1 and it establishes standards that will allow us to operate in accordance with almost all of the current Public Health restrictions and offer all of our normal league play as well as to reinstate our bar service. The only change from our previous policy is that we are not currently allowed to have any spectators in the facility for any practice or game situations. The COVID Plan can be found at CCC COVID Plan Oct1. and we would recommend that all members give it another read in order to refresh their understanding of all of the procedures associated with curling safely at the club during the COVID-19 pandemic. The Wednesday and Thursday Night leagues plan to take up where they left off in the schedule before the holidays, but the Friday Night league will release a new schedule shortly. The other leagues will operate as they were before the latest restrictions were imposed. Members are welcome to take part in more than one league as there is not currently any requirement to stick with one exclusive group. The calendar and leagues schedules will be updated on the club website shortly, so be sure to check them out to confirm timings of all of your games. Good Curling And Stay Safe!
