In January 2020, Dallas Grogan warned his three daughters about the dangers of the new virus. Girls, I worked through SARS and this is going to be much worse, he told them. The 86-year-old retired doctor knew what he was talking about. While 2020 has presented all of us with changes and challenges, it has also underscored many silver linings along with the importance of supporting our local small businesses. ... Together with Charlene Kalia, we have collaborated with Mayrik restaurant to provide New Year's Eve dinner for 30 ICU doctors and nurses at Sunnybrook Hospital. While this year brought on uncertainty, it also highlighted the importance of home and caring for our friends, family, and communities. We are grateful for the opportunity for growth, collaboration and we feel very thankful for all of the love and support we have been able to give and receive.
