So...we tend to hear, quite often, that it is important to get our child's eyes examined...and the "parent" in me says "yes, agreed, absolutely"... But, besides the importance of routine care, why exactly is it important? Well, there are a few reasons:... 1. Many eye conditions can occur during childhood 2. Blue light exposure: as technology takes on a bigger role in your child’s life, it creates the potential risk of your child developing ocular changes 3. Your child may not notice they have eyesight errors, as their vision may seem quite normal to them 4. Prompt management of vision problems if they already exist, and/or prevention of other eye related concerns So, there it is.... 4 very important reasons to ensure our child's eyes are examined on a routine basis.
