Chickadee Havanese

DID YOU KNOW? Our club is at all about the responsible promotion and preservation of the Havanese in Canada. We encourage preserving history and historic funct...ion of these dogs. Some say that since Havanese are companion dogs, they don’t have a historic function. We would argue that being a companion IS their historic function. A well-bred Havanese is going to come from parents who are health tested. Not just vet checked dogs, but a sire and dam who were carefully matched together after being cleared of the most prevalent illnesses in the breed. When you do your research, and get a well bred Havanese from a responsible breeder, you get predictability. Predictability of temperament, drive, energy and biddability are all things that make it easier for the breeder to match a puppy to its new family. There’s nothing wrong with considering the colour or markings of your new companion; however, if the temperament and characteristics of the breed don’t appeal to you then don’t get one just because you like the color. Colour and markings will change over time it’s truly what’s inside that counts

This puppy was from one of my 2013 litters and she was definitely one of my favorites for color and markings. She is still just as beautiful today and her markings are still so vibrant. Some very close friends of ours love and spoil her. Maybe one day I'll see another like her in the whelping box
