Chickadee Reclamation 09.05.2021

Usually Chickadee Reclamation is out planting trees in mines and other places, but that's hard to do in the winter. So for the last month or so we have been working on a seed collection project. It took a lot of work to get to the big pile of trees in the picture. 3 weeks of negotiating permits with the government and fabricating a pole saw. A pole saw that will cut just the tops off the trees so that the rest of the tree stands and timber dues are not needed, the tree can continue growing and there is less work for us to do on the ground. It took a lot of work and figuring getting the saw working but it does, beautifully. I'll put up a video of it in action in the next few days so stay tuned. #seedcollection #blackspruce #growtrees #reclamation
