Practice the Safe 6 and Stay Safe!
Hello Everyone, As of today, we must all wear masks in all indoor public spaces in the Yukon. Wearing a mask is an additional tool that, when combined with the Safe 6, can help to reduce the risk of transmitting COVID-19.... Masks alone cannot stop the spread of COVID-19. Always: - stay home when you’re sick - physically distance - and wash your hands. By wearing masks and following the Safe 6, we will have the greatest impact on limiting the spread of COVID-19. Today, I had the opportunity to go caribou hunting with my daughter in our traditional territory. I taught her how to skin and cut meat and how to harvest sustainably. It is important to pass on these teachings to the next generation and I make it a point to teach my girls. Hope everyone is doing well and staying safe. Souga Sinla, Chief Stephen Charlie
I had the honour of attending the Remembrance Day service in Watson Lake this year and I wanted to share this picture taken of the Kaska Members of the Royal Canadian Rangers and I. It was great to see a really good turnout by the community members to honour the men and women who served and continue to serve our country for the freedoms that we have today. Souga Sinla, ...
