When you started solid foods, how did your baby react? One of my kids made a horrible face and pushed it all out, and my other kid was a pro her first time, and wanted more! Both of these reactions are normal. ~Rebecca, RN

Tips for using frozen breastmilk: It might taste or smell different than fresh breast milk. It can also look slightly blue, yellow or brown. Slowly thaw milk in the refrigerator. This causes less fat loss. When milk is thawed, swirl it to mix in the fat. Throw away any milk which has been thawed longer than 24h.... Warmed breastmilk can be put back in the fridge for 4 hours if your baby has not touched it with their mouth. Throw away milk within 12h after the baby is finished feeding. See more

Some people choose to pump and freeze their milk. You don't HAVE to do this, but it's nice to have a bit of a stash. This chart can be helpful to know how long you can keep your milk. (note: the 4 degrees column should be Fridge, not room temp) Access the full document: https://resources.beststart.org/wp-cont//2018/12/B35-E.pdf
