Well it is January 2nd and the CHILD team is back for the new year. 2019 was a great year we started seeing all of the kids now that they are 8, (getting so big... it is unbelieveable). We have already seen about 500 families so far. 18 new papers from CHILD were published, 52 abstracts and CHILD reasearch was highlighted in media over 75 times. Our very own Dr. Becker received the Dr. John M. Bowman Memorial Winnipeg Rh Institute Foundation Award, while Dr. Azad received a Terry G. Falconer Memorial Rh Institute Foundation Emerging Researcher Award (Health Sciences). Just recently an article by our own Dr. Elinor Simons was published on babies who did not consume peanut in their first year were four times as likely to have a peanut allergy by age three compared to babies who did eat peanut before their first birthday.
