Dear Provider/ Parent. What could be best for you and your family? This is a health of our children, parents, spouse and friends. We received latest information from the Public Health. Please Help us prevent the spread of novel Coronavirus (COVID-19)... . Re: COVID-19 Guidance for Child Care Settings "Ottawa Public Health is recommending that, where possible, a parent or caregiver stay at home with their children. If this is not a possibility, all licensed home childcare are asked to actively screen anyone entering your premises. This include all children, parents, staff, visitors and delivery persons for any symptoms and travel history that may be related to COVID-19." Here are 4 screening questions to consider: 1. Do you have any of the following symptoms-fiver/feverish, new or existing cough or difficulty breathing? 2. Have you traveled outside of Canada within the last 14 days? 3. Have you had close contact with a person who is a confirmed or probable COVID-19 case? 4.Have you had close contact with a person with acute respiratory illness who has been outside Canada in the last 14 days?" Keep a distance of 2 meters (six feet) from person you are screening, take care of yourself and your family, wash hands/use hand sanitize often than ever before. Together we will be healthier. What an amazing time Russian community spent celebrating the Slavic Spring Festival and Fair "Maslenitsa" on March 1st, 2020." Maslenitsa known as ‘pancake week’, the traditional Russian festivity is famous for its blini (pancakes) with many fillings and toppings, from sour cream to caviar, to salmon and all things sweet!" . People enjoyed watching folk concert, traditional ethnic music, dance, food, beverages, handcrafts and costumes. . We enjoyed tasting diverse food, vibra...nt culture of ethnic communities from Russian, Ukraine, Belorussia, Bulgaria, Serbia, Moldova, Romania, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Kazakhstan. . Thank you to Natalia Trefilova, Eve Elliott and Alvina Usher for support in connecting with this community. #CommunityChildCareofOttawa
