I have received clarification of the Simcoe Muskoka Health Unit’s most recent expectations of screening in regards to managing children with Covid-19 symptoms. 1. Each day Your child must take and pass the Covid-19 screening with their parents to come to Daycare : 2. Covid-19 symptoms... * Fever * Chills * Cough * shortness of breath * sore throat * difficulty swallowing * runny/stuffy/congested nose * lost sense of taste/smell * pink eye * Headache * digestive issues * sore muscles * extreme tiredness * falling down often * sluggish/lack of appetite (young children) 1. IF parents keep their symptomatic child(ren) home, they may return 24 hours after being symptom FREE POLICIES still apply for other illness ie : vomiting/ diarrhea/ step throat / 48 hours Sypmton FREE Let’s work together to keep our families Healthy
