As we continue to monitor emerging information in regards to the novel COVID-19 virus. We have implemented strict pre-screening protocols to mitigate risk of transmission and we will continue to maintain firm infection prevention standards. To maintain continuity of care during these challenging times, we will continue to provide emergent oral health services to little ones in Calgary and surrounding regions. Many patients have been requesting information on our attendance ...at the Vancouver Pacific Dental Conference (PDC) to identify their potential risk to COVID19 virus exposure in early March 2020. Our health care providers and team members were not at the Vancouver Pacific Dental Conference. We will remain in contact with our patients in a timely basis to provide current updates on our services and oral health recommendations. If your family has any oral health questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us at 403.930.0270 or via e-mail at [email protected]. For more latest updates on COVID-19, please visit www.ahs.ca/covid.

A child’s life journey through these new rapid changes to their daily activities to prevent novel COVID-19 may affect them mentally and physically. It is important for parents to dedicate their valuable time to educate their little ones about germs and how clean hands will prevent them from getting sick.

Let’s ask Little Johnny why baby teeth are important! Dental disease can have a serious effect on children such as causing pain; interfere with sleep; affect concentration and attendance at school; influence nutrition, growth and development; and create social barriers. The front baby teeth do not typically fall out until age 6 to 8 and the back baby teeth do not typically fall out until age 10 to 12. A child having dental cavities or pain, should have their teeth checked. ...Removing baby teeth too earlier on can result in shifting of baby teeth creating problems for the adult teeth to come in. Let’s start early and fight those sugar bugs! #yycmoms #yycfamily #yycnow #yycevents #yycdentist #yycdads #yyckids

Be the reason why a child smiles today! Let’s ask Karlee why establishing a Dental Home is important? Establishing a Dental Home for your child is important for excellent oral health. Dental care should be comprehensive, continuously accessible, coordinated, compassionate, and culturally effective for children. The early dental visit to establish a dental home provides a foundation upon which a lifetime of preventative education and oral health care can be built.... Karlee’s plays an essential role at Children’s Dental Health Centre as a dental administrator coordinating treatment plans and prevention schedules to ensure your child has an early start to a healthy smile for a lifetime :) #yyckids #yyc #yycnow #pediatricdentistry #yycfamily #yycmoms #yycdads #yycfamily #yycdentist

When is it the best time for my child to see a dentist? The first dental check-up is recommended when your child grows their first tooth or by their first birthday. The first check-up gives both the Pediatric Dentist and the parent an opportunity to work together and review their child’s oral health. Early detection and management of oral conditions will improve your child’s oral and overall health and well-being. Please visit us at www.childrensdentalhealth.ca for more infor...mation on your child’s oral health. #yycdentist #yyckids #yycmom #yycdad #yycfamily #yycnow #yycevents #pediatricdentist #dentist
