Due to overwhelmingly positive response, please note the following message on behalf of the MacEwan University Flight Research Team, regarding the Flight Course... registration for Fall 2020! Due to a high level of response to the online course, ECDV 0100: Exploring Early Childhood Curriculum, the application will be closing at the end of business on Friday, July 24. We thank all those who have expressed interest in the course. If you have already applied, you will hear back about the status of your application by August 17. ARCQE also hopes to have further information regarding the Pedagogical Partner support program available in the coming weeks... This is so true. With the licensing regulations up for updates and Accreditation shut down...it is truly scary to think what will happen. PLEASE advocate for subsidized childcare for all, living wages for staff, and say NO to higher ratios. Much consultation is being "done" in places away from the actual child care sites....ask the governing body how they can speak on our behalf without consulting??? Also did you know just how many behind the scenes cuts were made to childcare in the last 3 months??

Look at the differences between a typical younger childs hand (left) and a typical older childs hand (right). I have parents asking regularly why their presch...ool aged child isnt able to write yet. This is why! Their hands (and brains) are still developing and are not fully formed. So what should they be doing to support this? PLAY!! Playdough, colouring, cutting, gluing, playing outside, digging in dirt, sensory play, dress up play, science experiments, beading, puzzles, throwing balls, etc. All of these things help their hands develop. When they are physically ready to write, they will! No need to rush them, they will show you when they are ready! See more
