Our Auxiliary is planning a summer raffle and here is a beautiful quilt that two of our members have been working on for a few months. Thanks Sharon and Debbie for your hard work. Stay tuned because we have also collected some more fabulous prizes for our baskets and if anyone has new items to donate they would be gratefully accepted. If you own a business and want to donate something that's even better. The money we collect is donated to our hospital for much needed equipment and patient comfort and care. We tend to focus on the 1918-1919 Flu Epidemic as a comparison to our current pandemic but did you know that the "Feast of Nations", a 1911 event to raise funds for the first hospital in Chilliwack, had to be postponed to prevent the spread of smallpox? **IMPORTANT NOTICE ** Due to the recent recommendations regarding the COVID situation in the Fraser Health region, we have decided in order to keep our volunteers and customers healthy, we will be closing the Thrift Shoppe for 2 weeks. We will not be accepting donations during this time. We will re-open on November 24th, with a full display of Christmas items.... We hope to see you all then, in the meantime...take care and stay safe!
