What happens when you go out and purchase a beautiful outfit for New Year’s Eve and your ‘date’ declines? This Ribkoff outfit was bought a few years ago (tags still on) and wound up having nowhere to go. Flash forward, said outfit no longer fits! Although this season doesn’t allow an occasion right now (unless you want to spend a dressy evening alone with your ‘date’,) the outfit needs a history to call it’s own at some point. PS there will be a Boxing Day sale at Marion’s next Saturday, 12-4, December 26.

Does anyone recall the Lady Diana ‘black sheep’ sweater she made famous in the early 1980’s? One has just arrived, in pristine condition, wool and size small to medium. A unique and rare item. 1984. Made in England. Also in a Kate Spade black leather purse in excellent condition and a pair of La Valle black leather boots, (from Ingledews) size 61/2, also in excellent condition.

Fall colours, coziness, ‘cocooning’ come to mind this season, especially now when we are practicing ‘carefulness’ for the foreseeable future. At Marion’s we are presenting the usual quality items for sale with an eye to the touch and look of luxe fabrics with comfort in mind.

Here are a couple of specialty items to mention; a pair of (worn once) Stuart Weitzman over the knee black leather boots, size 7 1/2. (Original price: $1200, now $295.) Lindsay tried on this fitted dress and looks like she was poured into it. If your measurements are 36, 24, 36, it may fit the same. The fabric is rare and beautiful. A couple of gowns; the ivory wedding gown is size 18 with a lace up back and lots of frills. Original cost, $1200, now $250. The teal satin gown, also with lace up back, pretty cap sleeves, immaculate condition, size 6, for $200.
