Someone’s grouchy in the morning
If you take good care of your ragdoll cat, they will be healthy, happy, and a better active furry family member for everyone to enjoy for a long time Feeding Fresh food and water is an absolute necessity for your ragdoll.... It is recommended that you always have a bowl full of dry food available for your cat, as well as a bowl of clean water. Mine won’t even drink the water until it’s fresh from the fridge dispenser! So picky! Wet food is probably not necessary on a daily basis, and in my experience can cause diarrhea or very smelly crap in the box - but it is really up to you, and what your ragdoll prefers. We recommend feeding your ragdoll one of the premium brands of food, as the quality is usually better. Adding an omega 3 treat or salmon oil to the food can help with a luxurious coat. Usually kittens should have a special formula of kitten food, so check with your veterinarian or local pet store if your not sure or ask away on here if you have questions! You should try to clean the water bowl daily, and the food bowl as much as possible to prevent germs and bacteria from building up. Grooming Ragdoll coats can vary in thickness and hair type. The average ragdoll hair is fairly thick, and very soft to the touch. The length of the fur can be medium to long. They usually do a good job of grooming themselves, and don't require excessive brushing. It is a good idea to brush them thoroughly every couple weeks, or once a week if they have longer fur to prevent matting. The other reason for brushing on a regular schedule, is if you happen to find a knot forming, you can easily brush it out before it gets out of control. Ragdolls tend to enjoy grooming and make it easy for you to brush away! #ragdolls
The Ragdoll is an all-round outstanding breed. It has semi-long hair, amazing blue eyes and a laid-back personality that is sure to win over the hearts of all who encounter it. The Ragdoll hasn’t just evolved into the friendly companion-cat it is today, but rather has been specifically bred with this quality in mind. #ragdolls #furbabies
Wondering about when to spay or neuter your new furry friend? To prevent your little one from going into heat, ideally she should be spayed around 4-5 months of age. Young kittens tend to bounce back after surgery pretty quickly. Of course, your feline friend needs to be in good health to go through surgery; if she isn't, your vet will tell you when she is ready to be spayed. Neutering your male before reaching sexual maturity will give him health benefits as well as perhaps prevent him from ever learning to spray. Best to have it done around 4 months of age.
I just wanted to share these two gorgeous guys from Winter and Kage’s last litter. Solomon and Pepsi
