Okay awesome and supportive customers! Here we go, Chinook Windz's Customer Appreciation Month. We are busy putting together as many deals and surprises as we can. To start: For the month of February, we will be having Nail Trim Tuesdays and Pet Wash Wednesdays. By appointment only, and a limited number of appointments BUT nail trims and dog washes on those days will be absolutely FREE, all month. Call and book your appointment for either Nail Trim Tuesday or Pet Wash Wedn...esdays. One pet per appointment. (403)933-3344 We reserve the right to say no to nail trims on dogs that are aggressive or overly nervous. The Pet Wash is a U-Wash which closes each day at 4:30 for nightly cleaning. Chinook Windz Healthy Pet & Horse Supplies continues to diligently implement strict cleaning and surface disinfection protocols, and social distancing/controlled number of patrons in the store is requested. Our pet wash remains open (with certain restrictions) and our public washroom remains closed. Hand sanitizer is available at the entrance to the store and at the counter. All surfaces are cleaned regularly throughout the day, and the POS machine and front counters are disinfected between each customer. Our staff is happy to don a mask if social distancing cannot be maintained when we are not behind the plexiglass barrier at the counter. We follow all AHS protocols for your safety. We also continue to offer delivery to residents of Turner Valley and Black Diamond, as well as curbside pickup.

Our self serve dog wash renovation is done. With some extra rules in place to ensure social distancing and proper cleaning, the dog wash is OPEN. - only one person may accompany the dog into the store (to facilitate keeping our number of people in the store low) - use of the blow dryer is not permitted - we would appreciate if you call ahead and book a wash time, so we don’t end up with multiple people waiting for the wash facilities - you may bring your own shampoo (we do ...provide it) but ask that you do not bring towels or grooming supplies from outside the store - our public washroom remains closed - we are not trimming dog nails at this time, as it cannot be done and still maintain social distancing Thanks for your continued support. Today is a delivery day. Starting Wednesday April 22nd, our store will be CLOSED on Wednesdays. This is just a temporary measure to give our reduced staff a bit of a break and also give us a day to concentrate on the production of dust masks that are in demand in our community. Happy Easter! We are open Thursday 10-5:30 and it is a delivery day - if you want delivery please call early in the day, so that we don’t miss anyone. This includes stores that fall into the categories of clothing, computer and gaming stores, and services in shopping malls and shopping centres such as hobby and toys, gift and specialty items and furniture. This does not include pet food stores. We have been deemed an essential service retail operation. We are being diligent with our cleaning proce...dures - wiping surfaces (counters, doors, product that has been touched and our POS machine after each customer) and washing our hands. There is hand sanitizer available for customer use. At this time we have no plans to close our doors. We are OPEN tomorrow, Saturday March 28th from 10am to 5pm.

** Update ** March 24th We are making some changes at our store (starting immediately), to help minimize risk to our customers and staff, while still serving our customer needs. Until further notice - we will not be trimming dog nails and our dog wash is closed.... We will be OPEN regular store hours Monday - Saturday but will be limiting customers in the store to 2 at a time to enable social distancing. This is not the time for browsing or casual shopping. Please limit time spent in the store, so that other customers are not made to wait. We have hand sanitizer available and are wiping down all surfaces and washing our hands after every customer. If you want to pick up your food but don't want to come into the store, you can prepay your order and let us know when you will be here. While you remain in your vehicle, we will bring your order out to you. We are now offering free delivery of pet food to residents of Black Diamond & Turner Valley on Tuesdays and Thursdays. A little humour for your Saturday

There seems to be a bit of confusion among some of our residents as to which businesses are open and which have closed their doors temporarily. Chinook Windz is OPEN, regular hours, and no issues with maintaining stock on our pet food and supplies at this time. We are keeping ourselves apprised of provincial and local government rules and recommendations, and will only be closing if it becomes necessary. Otherwise it is business as usual here. To protect ourselves and our customers, we are taking extra precautions - disinfecting all surfaces and doors after every customer. However if you are immune compromised or elderly, please take advantage of our Tuesdays and Fridays delivery service. We are not doing nail trims while we are practicing social distancing. Sorry for any inconvenience.
