What’s that cracking noise? This is a frequently asked question to chiropractors as many individuals fear that we are breaking bones. This huge misunderstanding is a major reason why certain people don’t seek chiropractic care whilst in pain. NO NEED TO BE AFRAID! The cracking/popping sound heard from a chiropractic manipulation is simply a release of gas within the fluid filled sac that surrounds our joints. When the chiropractor performs the adjustment, the joint space op...ens minutely, allowing a pressure gradient change and a release of pressure. This sometimes causes a cracking/popping sound to be heard from the body. It is harmless and often relieving. Whether you hear the noise or not, the therapeutic benefit of a chiropractic adjustment often leads to improved range of motion, functional improvements and a reduction in pain and stiffness. Feel free to contact me with any concerns about chiropractic care To book an appointment at either of my Fredericton or Oromocto locations feel free to book online through https://linktr.ee/chirotravis, or by pm. #adjustment #manipulation #chiropractic #chiropracticcare #health #wellness #improvedrange #chiropractor #frederictonchiropractor #oromoctochiropractor #movement

Need help building a stronger core? Try this exercise the ‘Bird Dog’ which helps with core recruitment, rotary stability, spinal alignment and reducing low back pain. When done properly, It can also improve shoulder stability, hip alignment and shoulder mobility. During most episodes of low back pain, our body tends to favor certain muscles while disengaging others. This leads to tightness in various muscles and weakness in others. The bird dog exercise is great at innervatin...g many of the muscles needed to brace our core. This helps take pressure off the overworked joints and muscles which can help reduce and prevent low back pain. Here are some tips to consider while performing this exercise. - maintain a neutral spine, - kneel on the floor in a quadruped position with your knees under your hips and your hands under your shoulders. - Raise your opposite arm and leg straight out, keeping your abs braced, stomach in and your whole body in one straight line from head to toe - resist rotation and extension forces that attempt to destabilize your spine. If this exercise becomes too easy or is too difficult, feel free to contact me for progressive ways to make it more challenging or easier. Try it for yourself! #birddog #function #prevent #lowbackpain #chiropractic #chiropractor #movement #rehab #fredericton #oromocto #newbrunswick #core #strength #health #wellness
