Recent piece; A Whitetail deer fawn. Accidental death of course, as there is no season that time of year. They're only this size for a short time, so they're a rare find.
Here's something I don't see every day. A Bearded Dragon.
Don't let that Coyote go to waste. Keep the skull and have the pelt tanned.
The Wood Duck. Definitely the most beautiful duck in Canada. Is it too far to say the most beautiful Bird in a of Canada?
Do we do Euro/Skulls? Yes. Of any size.
The Pronghorn. People don't realize their habitat includes parts of Canada. Who else has a Pronghorn hunt on their bucket list?
The Great Horned Owl. What your favorite owl?
The Fisher. Some of you may have seen me putting this one together back at the Toronto Sportsman Show in March. Here's the finished product.
Finally finished my wife's birthday present from nearly a year ago. The custom doors for her bathroom cupboards.
The Muskrat. Often compared to a beaver. Both are rodents, but in different family classifications.
The Opossum. Locally the population seems to be growing fairly quickly. Who's seen one of these fascinating creatures around?
My wife's Christmas present. Pencil drawing.
Definitely not the most common fish to have mounted up here in Ontario. Here's a beauty local Channel Catfish caught out of the Nottawasaga. Now on display at the Santa Fe Motel in Wasaga Beach.
171 5/8 Local Buck. With a 9 1/2" Brow Tine, a 7 6/8" Drop Tine and 15 5/8" inside spread, this hunters dream buck had a bit of everything.
Sometimes the client knows exactly what they want their piece to look like, right down to acting out the position they want. Here's a bobcat mount done up to make the clients dream a reality.
Well Everyone - I'm back! No, I wasn't abducted by aliens or killed in a horrific or comical hunting accident - I was just extremely busy with Taxidermy work, running my own business and being married! I bet a lot of you know and understand what that is like!! Well, Its been a super busy year. With the 2018 CTA Taxidermy Competition last month, I figured it was past due to post my 2017 competition entry; My Red Fox and Squirrel piece. Taking three first place; best of class, Knapton's best small mammal, SCI highest scoring professional and People's Choice.
