Today is a very special day here at the Centre ... we are officially celebrating Wanda’s 25th Anniversary of being with us! For the last 25 years, Wanda has been here with us and working with our children. Thank you for everything you do Wanda!
We cannot thank Art Knapp Kamloops enough for this amazing opportunity, and also a huge thank you to everyone who purchased ornaments! #supportlocal #ykastrong
Thank you so much for everyone who has supported our Centre this last year, including all our staff and parents who went above and beyond with all the changes we saw in the last year. Today (December 18) is the final day of our day program for 2020. We can't wait to see all of our staff and children return on January 4!
We will be cutting off sales of spaghetti dinner tickets today at 3:00 PM as we need to make certain we have enough food! We will still be able to sell the meal-less ticket (which has no meal but enables entry to the silent auction) until 3:00 PM Friday!
Some Christmas cheer from the Centre ... we even had a socially distancing visit with one of Santa's most trusted helpers. #autism #ChristmasLove
The Chris Rose Therapy Centre for Autism is honoured to be a recipient of the Kamloops This Week Christmas Cheer fund. The Christmas Cheer Fund was founded by Gregg Drinnan at Kamloops Daily News in 2001, and taken over by Kamloops This Week in 2014. The five charities are: Y Womens Emergency Shelter, Kamloops Therapeutic Riding Association, Chris Rose Therapy Centre for Autism, New Beginnings ABI & Stroke Recovery and Kamloops Brain Injury Association. #Kamloops #ChristmasCheerFund
We cannot thank Art Knapp Kamloops enough for thinking of us with this amazing fundraising opportunity. When you stop by to get your ornaments, please check out some of their other wares ... they have some amazing holiday gifts and stocking stuffers! #ykastrong #supportlocal #kamloops
There are some neat alternatives available with this year’s dinner!
We're looking for a few talented and conscientious volunteer board members to lead and strengthen our programs for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder and their families. If you can contribute your time, thoughtfulness, and leadership one evening a month, and are interested in exploring this opportunity, please reach out to us here at the Centre at [email protected].
Thank you so much to everyone who has supported this year's social distancing Spaghetti Dinner!
Here is some more stuff from our adult program! We have some crafters there, as well as someone who is working on their photography!
We have amazing news! The Purdys order arrived ahead of schedule, so we already have it organized and ready for pickup. For anyone who has children attending the day program today, we will bring you the order when you pick your children up. For anyone who does not have children attending our day program, please touch base with us (250-376-6494) so that we arrange as healthily safe pick up as we can. Thank you all so much for taking part in our Purdys Fundraising Campaign for Holiday Delights from CRTCA -- this was our most successul Purdys campaign to date, with $3,531.15 in sales, which raised $882.79 for the Centre. Thank you so much for supporting our families and our children.
Some of you may have noticed that the recent article in Kamloops This Week referred to our executive director Wanda as an Eddy rather than a Carisse ... there is a very good reason for that! Congratulations Wanda and Curtis!
Just in time for Christmas packages, we have another fundraiser going with Purdys Chocolatier. By using the link below, anyone wanting to support the fundraiser can order themselves directly at the website. Orders will be delivered to the Centre by December 9, and you will be able to pick them up from us. Please call 250-376-6494 or email [email protected] for further details regarding pickup. https://fundraising.purdys.com/1191741-77278
We thank Kamloops This Week for this wonderful article about the Centre! A donation to the Christmas Cheer Fund helps the Centre as well as four other local charities -- Y Women's Emergency Shelter, Kamloops Therapeutic Riding Association, New Beginnings Stroke Recovery and Kamloops Brain Injury Association. #Kamloops #locallove #ChristmasCheerFund
