We are in a strange market right now. Most listings are only on the market a few days before they have multiple offers and are sold. So around 2 years ago we had a discussion with Chris about buying a home. After he had referred us to a mortgage company we took care of those things first. We, as real estate professionals, are relied on by our clients to navigate a complex process, with very high dollar amounts. If a seasoned real estate and business mogul like Barbra Corcoran can get scammed, it just goes to show how very vigilant we all must be. I have now implemented a confirmation by voice call policy prior to sending any payment instructions to a client, lender or lawyer.
