Good afternoon Yorkton! Thank you for your continued interest in our #WeeklyWrapUp. Here are some of the calls that we attended this past week. From the early ...morning of Monday, February 15th, 2021 into the evening of Sunday, February 21st, 2021, the #YorktonRCMP responded to 163 calls for service. Some of these included: - 7 Traffic Accidents - 37 Provincial Traffic Offences - 3 Operation While Impaired Calls (Drugs/Alcohol) - 2 Dangerous Operation Of A Motor Vehicle - 16 Provincial Statutes (note: these include charges and complaints that fall under a Provincial Statute; such as the Family Relations Act, the Alcohol and Gaming Regulation Act, etc.) - 3 Mental Health Calls - 1 Weapon-Related Call - 1 Disturbing The Peace Call - 5 Drug-Related Calls - 5 Harassment/Threats Calls - 14 Assaults - 5 Thefts - 6 Mischiefs - 5 Frauds - 2 Suspicious Person/Vehicle/Property Calls - 7 General Assistances Have a safe and wonderful week everyone! ^rl

Yorkton RCMP Cocaine Seizure 2021-02-10 3:47 p.m.... On Friday, February 5th, 2021, members of the Yorkton RCMP Municipal General Investigative Section (GIS) and Yorkton RCMP Detachment executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) search warrant at an apartment on Russell Drive in Yorkton, SK. As a result of the search, police located 243 individual bags of cocaine weighing 165.8 grams and $750 in Canadian currency. This is the equivalent to 1,658 individual doses of cocaine. Two individuals have been charged in relation to this investigation: 23-year-old Erin Watson of Yorkton, SK, has been charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Cocaine, contrary to Section 5(2) of the CDSA. She is scheduled to appear in Yorkton Provincial Court on March 15th, 2021. 18-year-old Gray Hae of Edmonton, AB, has been charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Cocaine, contrary to Section 5(2) of the CDSA, and Trafficking Cocaine, contrary to section 5(1) of the CDSA. He was remanded into custody for a scheduled court appearance at Yorkton Provincial Court on February 8th, 2021 and was released on bail for a further court appearance of March 1st, 2021.
