There is no place so special in our hearts as the home we grew up in, the place where our story began. Then as we get older our home is the starting place for every future adventure and the place where our childrens stories will begin.

There is something to be said for enjoying your favourite meal with your favourite people. This is especially true when its cold outside, as there is nothing more relaxing than comfort food and good conversation.

There is something to be said for just keeping it simple. Home is the place we go to relax with less distractions than the outside world. One of the easiest ways to achieve this is to keep a simple amd efficient household. There is a reason Marie Kondo is so popular. (Check her out on Netflix, if you haven't heard of her already )

We buy a home to shelter those that mean the most to us.

As a Realtor it's my job to find you a home where you can create a new future. A home that you fill with love becomes the place where you can work on building your dreams.

We live in a society that is often about wanting more out of life but when we sit and ponder the things we already have, we realize that everything we really need is right here, at home.

Sometimes the things we are searching for are closer to home than we think.

Nothing better than a lazy Sunday to spend time reconnecting with the ones we love.

I love to sleep in late in my warm bed, snuggle up by the fire on cold winter days, and live in comfy clothes around the house . On days like today with freezing rain warnings its that much easier to stay at home and enjoy its comforts.

I love to travel as much as the next person but there is also something to be said for coming home . You go out into the world to explore and experience new adventures and when you come home you have a comfortable space to reflect on all that you have enjoyed when away.

When I see my home , filled with love and care , I can't help but feel gratitude. Wishing the same for every one of you...

Breakfast is my favourite meal of the day and there is nothing better than enjoying it while still wearing your pyjamas.

When we invite people to our homes , we welcome them into our hearts.

Somtimes life can be hard and having a happy place to come home to can make a world of difference. Our home is not only shelter from physical storms like blizzards and rainfall but also from all of the emotional times in our lives. In those times our home gives us comfort , a safe haven , a place to recuperate , rest and rejuvenate until we are ready to take on the next chapter of our lives with renewed confidence and love in our hearts.

As an avid reader I find one of the best luxuries is curling up with an interesting book and getting lost in it. During these winter months all I need is to snuggle up in my favourite spot at home with a good book and a hot cup of coffee. May we all find an extra hour here or there to do the same.

Ever notice how when you have friends or family over, no matter where you start out you always end up congregating in the kitchen? The place where we make food for our loved ones , the place where we mix a drink or make our morning coffees . The kitchen is the place where we share our lives with each other. May your kitchen be filled with the smell of cooking food, hot coffee and the sound of good conversation.

Home is the place that is all your own, the place where you can do what you love no matter what that is. I wish for us all to have happy, healthy homes in 2020 and beyond. #dowhatyoulove #comehome

Spent the morning at Hintonburg's 1K & 5K Community Race, handing out water to the racers at the finish line. Its so nice to see events like this that are for the whole family.

This Sunday morning the Hintonburg Community Association will be holding the Cyclelogik Hintonburg 5K and 1K race. Its great fun for the whole family. We will be there representing Exit Excel.
