Qu'est-ce qu'un bijou éthique? Un bijou éthique est fabriqué en suivant des principes qui facilitent le bien-être environnemental et humain et évitent les pratiques nuisibles. Pourquoi proposer une collection de bijoux éthiques?... La quarantaine covid m'a donné le temps de réfléchir et de faire des recherches sur les pratiques durables dans ma profession. J'ai été surprise de tout ce que j'ai appris. Bref, je suis une personne éco-responsable et sensible aux enjeux des droits de l'être humain dans ma vie personnelle et souhaite aligner mes pratiques d'entreprise avec mes valeurs personnelles. Cette collection est une étape dans cette ré-allignement.

Why offer a collection of ethical jewellery?... The covid quarantine gave me time to reflect and research about sustainable practices in my profession. It was surprising to me how much I learned. In short, I am an eco-friendly person and sensitive to human rights issues in my personal life and wish to align my business practices with my personal values. This collection is a step in doing this re-allignment.

New collection of ethical jewellery, modular earrings with recycled silver, reclaimed titanium and reclaimed natural diamonds as well as lab grown diamonds. Fun and sleek or casual and sporty. Nouvelle collection de bijoux éthiques, de boucles d'oreilles modulaires fabriquées avec de l'argent recyclé, du titane récupéré et des diamants récupérés ainsi que créés en laboratoire. Amusant et élégant ou décontracté et sportif.

Une histoire à raconter ... Elle est venue du Michigan au Québec pour être avec son partenaire de vie. Il l'a surprise avec cette bague de fiançailles conçue sur mesure. Le pont en argent est serti de saphirs du Montana allant du bleu du Québec au bleu-vert du Michigan. A story to tell... She came from Michigan to Quebec to be with her partner in life. He surprised her with this custom designed engagement ring. The silver "bridge" is set with Montana sapphires ranging from Quebec blue to Michigan blue-green.

These teal Montana sapphires are ethically mined. 1 - miners are well equipped, work in safe conditions and are well remunerated. About 15 employees work this site. 2 - the site is worked with small machinery, leaving a small impact. The water used to wash the extracted gravel is clarified and recycled. 3 - only 5 acres at a time can be excavated before filling with the extracted gravel, covered with the original topsoil and replanted.... The origins of materials are increasingly of concern for the conscientious consumer. Don't hesitate to inquire about the origins and conditions of extracted minerals :)

Metallurgy workshop at the jewellery school in Quebec city. First time teaching at Ecole de Joaillerie de Québec, we had a lot of fun!
