Chuck to Chalk

COMMISSION PIECE: Mike and Danielle recently dropped this piece off for some refreshing! This cabinet has belonged in Danielle's family for some time, is hand made and was originally used to store medicines, for a practicing doctor! How cool is that?! Entire outside of piece has been brightened up in this lovely blue, lightly distressed and clear waxed for protection. Back panel painted a dark grey to give some contrast! ... Had to be a bit creative with my staging on this one, as I don't have the existing shelves on hand, but I think it still showcases the piece well! I just love how it's old, but the lines of this piece modernizes it... and those feet... no words there! Mike & Danielle, it has been fantastic working with you both on this. I am anxious to start on your next piece! Thank you both!

COMMISSION PIECE(S): Isn't it amazing what paint can do?! These pieces have been totally uplifted and refreshed! Both of have been painted a light grey, distressed and clear waxed for protection. **SOLD** Oh nesting tables. How I love thee! I've done a set of nesting tables much like these ones in the past, those ones seemed to be a hot number... so did these exactly like the ones I did before!... I just love the color combination on these tables! So soothing, fresh, and Spring like! All tables have had top surface sanded down, re-stained, and a couple coats of poly to protect. Largest table painted robins egg blue tone, middle table painted a light mint green, and smallest painted cream. All have been distressed and clear waxed. These tables are great for any space! Bonus as they provide extra setting space when needed! These will surely wow any guests! Dimensions (Largest Table): Height: 23 1/4, Width: 25", Depth: 17"

COMMISSION PIECE: Ombre is popular with kids these days! Cate is 10 and wanted this desk updated using purple and blue tones. I normally get inspiration pictures from clients from Pinterest, but I must say, I really like getting hand drawn inspirations as well. Cate's drawing of what she was looking for is pictured on the desk :) The top surface of desk has been fully sanded down. Re-stained, and a couple coats of poly to protect. Frame and drawers have been painted a combin...ation of blue and purple, blended together. Clear waxed for protection. The original hardware has been polished up and put back on. Now there is no reason to not get your homework done now, right Cate? ;) I hope you love the transformation!

**SOLD** From plain jane, to character cathy?! This one has had a complete overhaul! I wanted this one to look old, rustic, and used. Making pieces look "bad" is actually more work than one would think! This dresser was covered in veneer. It's all been removed from drawer fronts, and top surface. I love the outcome of the wood under all that veneer. Check out those worm holes!!! It suits my intent to keep it looking old perfect! To keep the natural look, it's been sealed wi...th hemp oil, no re-staining here! Frame has been painted using two colors, first a cream color, then a couple coats with a grey/brown paint. Heavily distressed and waxed for protection. Original hardware has been polished up and put back on. The imperfections on this dresser is what makes it just perfect! Dimensions: Height: 45.5", Width: 30", Depth: 17"

COMMISSION PIECE: When Jenn contacted me to refinish this piece, I instantly fell in love with her cabinet! And now, after it's done... I'm even more in love! What a change! Top surface, drawers, and doors have been sanded down. New coat of stain, and a couple coats of poly protect. Frame has been painted black, waxed for protection. Original hardware on drawers have been painted black to tie it all in. Addition of new hardware on doors provided by client, completes this pie...ce perfectly! COMMISSION PIECE: I've had the pleasure of meeting Keressa a few times now... I think she now tops the charts in terms of Chuck to Chalk refinished pieces in her home! This desk has had a full makeover! Looking way more modern now! Top surface and drawer have been sanded down, new coat of stain and a couple coats of poly to protect. Entire frame and shelves have been painted a charcoal grey, clear waxed to protect. New hardware finishes it off perfectly!... COMMISSION PIECE: Terrific Tammy dropped this piece off to have refinished! She was eager, and had already started sanding down this piece on her own! The top surface, doors and drawers have all been sanded down (by Tammy!). I just had to do a couple touch ups for sanding on this one! All wood surfaces have been re-stained, and a couple coats of poly to protect. Frame, shelves and back panel have all been painted this fresh baby blue color. Distressed, and clear waxed. I j...ust love the wood tone, color, and distressing... it all ties in so nicely! Tammy, I am sure this will make a wonderful addition in your cottage! COMMISSION PIECE: I think the best word to describe this transformation would be: EXQUISITE! Jacinthe and her family were looking to have this beauty spruced up a bit! This was one of my most exciting client pieces to date! ... Drawer fronts and top surface have been fully sanded down, new coat of stain and a couple coats of poly to protect. Entire frame has been painted green, distressed, and black waxed to bring out all those details. Hardware provided by client modernizes this piece just right!
