Church Acoustics by JdB Sound Acoustics 18.11.2020

What is the best sounding church out there? What is the best quality of sound should all churches have? Does the quality of the acoustics and sound system at your church honor God or Man? The battle for a person’s soul is a constant war on many levels. The people involved are ministers, preachers, scholars, experts, archeologists, historians, prayer warriors, educators, and ordinary Christian people who provide different ways of bringing the message of salvation through Jesus Christ. I give up!!!! I can’t compete with forked tongue salespeople who are masters at selling churches sound systems that come with the promise that they can do anything you will it to be. They claim their speaker systems are immune to acoustical room defects. Their technology is so advance that sound is switched off and on so rapidly that the frequencies will vibrate right through steel, wood, stone, concrete, drywall, and paint as if the walls are now invisible. Their techn...ology is so proprietary that when enough inaudible ultrasonic energy is applied to the structure, the surfaces of the walls of the church become compliant to the sound engineers' imaginative, creative design of what is reflective and what is absorbed with the flip of a switch. This technology is masked within the test sounds of pink noise and white noise. Don’t be fooled, mastering these sounds make sound systems perform perfectly every time. This often sold, but yet to be invented sound system, will not cause damage to the structure of a church but does have a liability clause and waiver for church members to sign to protect the manufacturer and church board for claims of hearing loss. The switch that turns on all of these features has yet to be revealed or activated. Manufacturer’s salespeople have been promising to implement and disclosing the location of the switch since 1933, with the next generation of hardware updates. The current 21st generation of sincere engineer’s efforts to release the hardware to mortal human beings is getting closer. Oddly enough, in the fine print, some manufacturers still include an optional clause. The clause reads that if the sound system continues to fail to meet the promised expectations, the manufacturer includes the license and address where you can legally acquire enough explosives to dynamite the sanctuary and start over with a proper acoustical plan approved by King David of the Old Testament. However, should a church execute this option, the audio industry is protected from litigation, and the action would be deemed an Act of God. Can someone please invent such a sound system so that these fake promises can be true! When such a sound system is invented, and churches can afford them, then I will retire. There is so much work out there. So many churches to fix, so many switches to install. So much work. Will it ever end! ??? Wait, what switch? Do you know were the switch is? No, but fixing the church works better than the switch and it cost so much less. But hey! I'm not here to burst the illusive magical powers of sound equipment controlled by the latest digital technology and algorithms. The solution is out there and it is not what you think.

And such a church can be scaled up to any size.

What costs more? Or, what will give you the most bang for the buck? Did you know that for less than the cost of a fully enclosed drum booth, you can fix all of the acoustical issues of a typical sanctuary? Here is a typical drum booth churches are buying. This booth retails for $4,300.00 and is often on sale for $3,000.00 plus shipping. [ 445 more words ] http://churchacousticsandsoundsystems.com//what-costs-mor/

Diffusers are amazing tools when used properly in a church. They solve a variety of problems in one step. Nothing performs better. One question that is often asked, can you turn the diffusers sideways? This is a great question, and the answer is based on our anatomy. As humans, our ears are on the side of our heads. This means we get our sound information for direction and clarity of speech on the horizontal plane or side to side. [ 1,448 more word ] http://churchacousticsandsoundsystems.com//half-round-tub/
