There have been many tragedys in history that the people on this earth have had to survive. I just want to say no matter how bad things look right now. We as a species have been through much worse. Please try and stay positive try and help others around you. Be kind and we will get through this. Its my hope that we learn from this. We are not in a isolated world anymore signals like people travel around the world at lighting speed. Its no longer a not my problem its over there world anymore. we live in a truly global society. Please be safe maintain social distance and again be kind to one another.

The last Seymour Duncan convertible amp. Two of two... they are a pita to work on but once they are working they dont sound too bad the modules and the order they are in really effect tone dramatically. This one needed new tubes all the way around. New caps and some tlc with some bad solder joints. #seymourduncan #tubeamp #amprepair #fixitright #hamilton #backlinetech #guitaramp #evspeakers

I wanted to say thank you to all my customers past and present for making last year the most successful year to date. To that end I want to announce some changes to my business. New service turn around time is now 2-3 weeks or less for standard repairs. For project amps that require a ton of work this will be longer. For rush jobs 24-48 hours a fee of $75 plus labor and parts will be charged. I am keeping my labor rate at $55 per hour for this year.
Finished Magnatone m15 power supply #vintagetubeamp #magnatoneamps #doitright #electronicsengineering #guitaramp #backlinetech
Finishing up the magnatone M15.
Todays first amp a Magnatone m15. Some pretty obviously bad things in this amp right off the bat.
Working on a butchered Gibson GA30 that has been modified by someone that should not be inside a tube amp. So far we had a blown output transformer and a non functional preamp section.
Tin whiskers the fear is real :) all the pots on this Genz Benz black pearl 30 had tin whiskers shorting all the pots to ground.
What a beautiful amp.. 1961 Super all original. Needs some filter caps and some tlc. I found not one but three bobby pins in this amp lol I am guessing the original owners children he had three did this lol could have been bad news for the owner... but we are restoring this now. Getting it back to its former glory. #vintagefender #superamp #fenderamps #thetubestore #doitright #hamiltonontario #tubeamprepair #backlinetech #tungsol

Working on some Ampeg Svt amps today you really want to make sure the foil shield is not touching the circuit board when you slide the power amp back into the cabinet.
Yesterdays amp a Fishman loudbox pro 900 this company stands behind the product they sell. Great customer support. I highly recommend these guys if you are loo...king for a quality acoustic guitar amp. This one had a broken pot. Before and after soldering should look exactly the same. No BURNT traces or lifted pads from poor technique. See more
We build amps as well as service them.
Next amps on the bench a pair of Mark 525 amps.
Sprayed Powdered graphite in tube sockets and on the speaker jack. in a 1970s Svt please dont let idiots work on your amps.
Got the new business cards today I am super happy with them. I have no idea how Vista print does it but they do it well. And for a reasonable cost.
Fixing amps 9:50 time to call it a day have a good weekend people!!
Mesa boogie Mark 5 25 not easy amps to work on but they sound pretty damn good. My phone does not do it justice.
I am not just a repair tech I also am a member of hair club for men. No I also play guitar
The P12R Jensen is right in the top ten speakers we get in the shop. But what makes our re-cones better? You could say our parts and the adhesives that we use. Some are more cosmetic. They all lead to as close as attainable version of that speaker we can give you.
Another repair from a while back.
Cleaned the benches today somewhat lol got a pile of amps to get through this week.
The perfect tool for removing the bolts holding together a Ampeg Svt gets into tight spots. And the bit socket fits the screw heads exactly
One of my customers is a cabinet maker this cabinet is tiger maple he did a good job on it. The dovetails are tight and its smooth as silk.
Installing an adjustable bias supply on a Mesa Dc3b
Working on a red stripe Mesa boogie mark 3 been hacked up. This belongs to a cabinet maker he made a cabinet for this amp. And like the other one this one is even more beautiful...
Another amp on the bench today Orange 100w.
Wow this was soul sucking. Mesa boogie mk3 2 days on one amp. People dont let morons fix your gear seriously. If they dont have a good track record if they ar...ent busy if there is no references move on. Lots of good techs. No need for butchery. It takes so much longer to undo bad work then it does to just fix it right the first bloody time. This thing has had some major service now. And its back up to sounding like it should. See more
Probably one of the most hacked Reverb rockets Ive worked on. Needed new speaker new output transformer and a full cap job. And several fixes to hack work. Some work done was so dangerous that the owner is lucky he was not badly shocked...
Todays bear of an amp the Rivera Tbr-1 this is a fantastic two channel amp. That can be run stereo or mono. 50 Watts a side. The construction is very good. Thi...s had solder joint issues and some bad filter caps in the preamp section. I last fixed this amp in 2010. And its now 8 years later the original tubes I installed are still in the Amp. Time for new tubes and a check up. One thing I want to say is most of the chassis screws were gone and this amp was held together by very little. If you are a serious player and you will gif with your amp do not put your gear in a plastic road case... these are only providing cosmetic protection only they are cheap and they are useless at providing gear protection against vibration. They transfer every single bit of energy into the devices screwed to the rails.. so a heavy amp like this should absolutely be in a floating case... See more
Another testimonial from a customer I received yesterday. Got my Marshall jcm800 back from Chris a couple weeks ago and couldnt be happier with his work. Quick service and attention to detail turned an already awesome amp into a face melting machine of doom. Will be returning with all my amp needs. Cheers dude you keep Rock N Roll alive...
