IMPORTANT NOTICE We have been informed that there is an outbreak of Kennel Cough happening in the city. We haven't had any cases associated with the salon. But, we would ask that if your dog has potentially been exposed, or is showing any possible symptoms, to please reschedule your appointment. Although it may not necessarily be dangerous to most dogs, it is extremely contagious. If your dog has Kennel Cough please see your vet for proper care and possible antibiotics. If... your dog is showing any signs of potential Kennel Cough we will have to send them home IMMEDIATELY. Even though we don't have the dogs roaming in the salon, we can't take any risks of possible transfer. Some of the most common signs is hacking that can sometimes sound like a goose honk or consistent sneezing, lethargy, loss of appetite, and runny nose. Thank you for understanding, and supporting us! Little Miss Lucy is looking so precious!!

Toupee Tuesday!! Carl sure has been enjoying the mild weather we're having. This is perfect weather for him to get outside and bust out his cross-country skis. Did you know that Carl is a top winning marathon skier? One time Carl was in Finland for the World championship 100km race. He had been training for this event all year. He qualified for the race the year before when he won the North American championship for the 75km race in Montana. Carl was just getting ready to hea...d back out onto the trail after a quick snack break when he noticed a fellow competitor in distress. Their laces had broke on their ski boot and they forgot their back up's in their hotel. They were crushed. All that time training to have the race taken away from them due to faulty laces. Carl being the generous guy that he is gave his spare laces to them. Legit tears were streaming down their face at his generosity when he could have just kept going by and won the race. Carl waited for them to re-lace their boots and the two of them decided they would motivate each other through the rest of the race. They took turns taking the lead while the other would shout words of encouragement to push themselves harder. Making sure the one in the lead was putting in the maximum effort to go for the gold. Near the end of the race, Carl and his newfound friend decided they should cross the finish line together paw in paw to show the world that a healthy competition can end with two athletes taking the gold. The crowds were ecstatic to see the collaborative effort they put forth to win the race. It was the first time in the history of their sport that there were two athletes taking the gold. And it was all because of some faulty laces and a cat with a big heart. See more

We are CLOSED today. Due to the massive amounts of snow, we have decided it's best to remain closed. Stay safe, and don't lose your pets in a snowbank!

As of Friday, November 6th, masks are now mandatory in all businesses that the public enters. We will require everyone to wear a mask when dropping off and picking up their pets, as well as when coming in for walk in services. Thank you for understanding, and supporting us during this time.

Toupee Tuesday!! Carl revealed his Halloween costume to us today. He's decided to be a racoon this year! Don't mistake him for a real one on Saturday! We also found out what Baxter is going to be. Watch out for this little devil! He may look like one right now, but he's actually the biggest sweetheart.

Last night turned into our worst nightmare. Late last night we lost our most beautiful precious girl Carling to torsion. To have her taken away from us is absolutely devastating. She was healthy (other than her heart condition that has been very much under control) and happy yesterday evening, and to wake up in the night to her in distress was extremely shocking. Carling has been such a force in our lives. We are so thankful to Lani Hopf for bringing her into our lives. She q...uickly took over our whole hearts, especially Aaron's. They had a bond that is incomparable. She was his hearthound. She loved him so very much. It was so obvious that he was her person. I didn't exist when dad was around, and she always waited for him to come home when he left to go anywhere. I was ok with being second fiddle to her because I know she knew just how much I loved her. Everyone did. She wouldn't take no for an answer when she wanted you to snuggle or pet her. It was happening whether you liked it or not. She also gave us four years with her daughter Raven. Having both those girls was such a gift. Aaron and I are so thankful to Rekha Orchard for coming in late at night to help us with our girl. Your compassion is beyond compare, and we will never be able to express how truly grateful we are to you for helping us through this horrible time. Everyone at Orchard Vet clinic has always gone above and beyond for us and our animals. They have been there for our girl since the beginning, and I couldn't ask for better people to take care of her. I know I can speak for Aaron too when I say that our hearts are shattered. She will forever be our Baby Princess. The most beautiful girl, ever. I miss you and love you so much, Carling.
