We may be social distancing and isolating from our friends and family currently, but remember you are not alone. Help is available should you wish through the Wellness Together portal, an initiative by the Federal Government to make sure all Canadians have a confidential source to turn to at any time of the day. https://ca.portal.gs/

So encouraged today to see our Premier and Minister Parsons reach an agreement to invest in the North Atlantic Refinery at Come by Chance. This investment will keep the Refinery in warm idle mode to protect it for future investment until an agreement to purchase is reached. This also temporarily secures up to 200 jobs which is terrific news for Come by Chance, the region and the workers. I have been in constant contact over the past number of months with the Province, prospective buyers, the current owner and my federal colleagues to impress upon each of them the tremendous importance of this file and it’s impact on not only our region but the entire province as a whole.
