The COVID-19 pandemic made everything worse for Naama and her family. After months of fighting, Naama’s parents split up, leaving Naama alone to console her mot...her. The family sank into deep financial distress. A school social worker realized that Naama and her parents needed urgent help and referred them to CHW Hadassim Children and Youth Village, where the unique Healing Broken Families program has transformed lives. With careful facilitation by the program social workers, a virtual ‘safe space’ was created and a family dialogue slowly began. Naama’s parents agreed to meet over Zoom and have open and constructive conversations. No longer caught in the middle, Naama was now front and centre, supported by her parents and a caring community.
