As 2020 draws to an end, so does Pastor Doug's time as our Chairperson of the Board. In this month's news update, he shares about his experience with CIM, his past 6 years on the Board of Directors and what God has taught him.

As the COVID-19 pandemic continues, one thing remains perfectly clear: that people all over the world needs salvation and a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. At CIM Canada, our goal has always been to share this message cross-culturally. The pandemic has affected our ministries as borders remain closed and many churches in the rural villages of Ghana and Togo, as well as the Roma congregations in Ukraine are not meeting or have severe restrictions as to how they mee...t. Donations to run ministries and to support church planters and village school teachers have also slowed, making it harder to provide much needed resources to the ministry fields. This, truly, is a time where we need to look to the Lord for guidance and direction as we navigate uncharted waters. Though physically, we have not been in the field, CIM Canada has taken this time to refresh our website, produce new promo videos (in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin), as well as update our mission, vision, and value statements. ...Continue reading the August news update on our brand new website!

As I am writing this update, there have been over 1.9 million cases confirmed worldwide with close to 124,000 deaths. These numbers grow hourly and undoubtedly the numbers are probably even higher as some places, including many of the locations where CIM is ministering to, are remote and there has not been much testing there.
