CP is so pleased to announce the Call for Short Film Proposals for The Next 150 - Documentary Futurism, an exciting project made possible with the help of Canad...a Council for the Arts | Conseil des Arts du Canada's New Chapter #funding program. We are calling for proposals for short films under the theme of Documentary Futurism! We want to prioritize five core groups of artists as a means to facilitate self-representation as self-determination. These communities include: Indigenous; Black and Racialized; Women and Queer Identifying; Disabled, and Newly Arrived (Migrants and Refugees). The goal of this new genre is to shine light on the complexities of the past, present and future through creative works that blur fact and fiction, and utilize actuality in fantasy. Follow the link for more information on the project and on guidelines and deadlines :) #CouncilNewChapter #TheNext150 #documentaryfuturism #filmsubgenres #Councilforthearts #cinemapolitica #docactivism #indigenousfuturism #CFS
