Happy New Year, everyone! I apologize for not posting for quite a while; our little family has been busy...getting ready for a new baby! Our second child is due this coming April!! We are so excited! Due to our renovations and other preparations, I will remain available until mid March for existing clients, but I will not be accepting new clients until after we have settled into a routine with the new little one.

Yes, even the ducks and the cats get along here at Circle 5!

Ticks seem to be out in full force already! I pulled 8 last week off our 2 yard dogs, and one off a guest. If you rub your fur babies when you check, they'll think they're getting extra love and will be WAY more patient when you have to pull one...!

I cant believe I forgot to post these! We have more new friends here at Circle 5! 5 domestic ducks also call us home! Angel, Bob, and Larry arrived in November; Snow and Rose joined us about a month ago. They were all born last spring 2016.... Our ducks spend the day wandering the farmyard or on the dugout, and they sleep in the duck house at night. The duck house and their fenced yard is not accessible to our guests. The 3 ladies do lay eggs in the duck house. Their hobbies include avoiding you until you whistle, staying in the pond past their bedtime, cuddling with cats (yep. I know.) and loudly voicing their opinions about everything! :-) I have two who will eat out of your hand (try it next time you're here!). So far our canine guests have been wary, then curious, then excited! The smallest Jack-russell breeds that we've boarded recently have tried their hand on herding (which has been hilarious to watch, because these ducks are a lot of wing but little actual movement lol). Be sure to ask to see them when you're here next!

We would like to announce the addition of a new guard dog and family member here at Circle 5! This is Jewel, she's a 9 month old mix of a few livestock guardian ancestries. She has been with us for a few weeks now, learning her pack place, her tasks and responsibilities. She does her job extremely well, and loves to meet new faces! She and Judge make quite a formidable team against the coyotes and other creatures of the night...!
