Parents and Tots begins a new year tomorrow, September 18th. All parents, grandparents and/or caregivers of children 0-4 are welcome to come with their little ones, for a time of fellowship, bible lesson, crafts and snacks. Hope to see you at the church from 10-11:30!

We are in the midst of our last camp of summer 2018! We have the privilege of spending each morning with 37 campers who are eager to play hockey. We are equally excited to share God's word with them! This week, our lessons are connecting hockey terms with God's design and will for the life of Christians. Romans 12:16-17 captures the essence of our lessons: "Live in harmony with one another...Repay no one evil for evil but give thought to do what is honourable in the sight of all." Thank you to James for sharing his hockey talents and for coaching us all! Also, thank you to the amazing youth leaders who have given their time to make camp fun, fullfilling and the best it can be!

Here are some photos from the rest of the week at our soccer camp. We had great weather and were able to stay outdoors everyday. On the extra sunny and humid days, we enjoyed having our bible lessons and snacks in the screen tents. It was wonderful to see the kids make connections with each other, as well as with the leaders. Each time the kids play soccer, we hope they will reflect on how soccer is a lot like life: we need to read God's Playbook everyday, be JOYful and set apart, hope in the Lord when in times of endurance and be certain of our destiny. Thank you to all of our leaders for their dedication and efforts throughout the week!

We had a great but hot start to our week! It was wonderful to see so many leaders give their all to encourage the 65 children to improve their soccer skills and to remember the importance of showing Godly character while playing soccer. The kids also had an opportunity to think about and discuss God's playbook: the bible, which is to be our rule book for life. We look forward to developing soccer skills further, as well as discovering more about God and His word through soccer rules and concepts.

At this point, we have completed our Vacation Bible School for 2018 and what an amazing week it was! As a ministry team, we were so thankful for the opportunity to teach the kids more about when and how Jesus rescues us. Days 3, 4 and 5 covered the points that when we struggle, when we do wrong and when we are powerless, Jesus rescues! On Friday, it was awesome to hear kids remember all five bible verses from the week and to celebrate what a great week we had. If we were to summarize the purpose and focus of our lessons this week, it would be the memory verse from Day 4: On this earth, you will have trails and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world. What a hope we have in Jesus!
