During the shared trauma of COVID-19, being seen as an active supporter of the community can make or break your business.
Kayte Armstrong is a doctor of veterinary science and a certified practitioner in Osteopathy. She needed a way to promote her specialized clinic Still Moving Os...teopathy that provides manual therapy services to both people and animals. To accomplish this, she needed a unique way to promote her brand on a local level in a way that educated the public. She also needed to reach people both in the city and in rural areas. We utilized the power of online video and we enhanced her image through altruistic advertising. Our technique helped her brand new fledgeling clinic reach its twelve-month expectations in only five months. Here, Dr Armstrong discusses the success she has enjoyed through membership in the City of Barrie Network, and how the videos she received as part of her program helped to convince many new clients to try her techniques and to share their success with friends and family. Jim Lowe, the owner of Assisting You Social, is an expert in the effectiveness of advertising on social media. Recently we spoke with him about the benefits tha...t have been enjoyed by his business through membership in the City of Barrie Network. Our online video cross-promotional platform is the most cost-effective means of advertising anywhere in Simcoe County. We charge the lowest imaginable rates but boost your business nine different ways, multiple times each month, to tens of thousands of mostly local consumers, and we do it all for only half a cent per person reached. Jim's comments are part of a series of glowing video reviews we have posted from multiple business owners in Barrie, Innisfil, and Oro-Medonte, all of whom are happy to talk about the unique and frankly unmatched results of altruistic advertising. Much has been heard this summer about racial inequality, and as the events of the past week show, more is needed. Only through education will we all learn and grow.
Shak's World has recently been the subject of media attention due to a plan of support from the City of Barrie. They want to open a youth centre in the downtown core, which is a great idea for all kids in our community.
If not for the support of our amazing local business sponsors (http://www.fivepointsmedia.ca//community-leaders/index.html) stories like this would never be reported to the public by local media.
If you own or manage a business, or you know somebody who does, you owe it to yourself to take a look at www.cityofbarrie.net. We don't ask you to believe us wi...thout evidence, so we are offering here the testimonial of Ken Cork, the owner of Imagine Laserworks Barrie, who saw positive results immediately after joining our integrated network of cross-promoting local-only businesses. More testimonials will follow in the coming days and weeks. The City of Barrie Network reaches the most local consumers for the lowest advertising rate anywhere; an average of 5,000 viewers per video for only $25.00, which equates to half a cent per person reached. No other media in The City of Barrie, the Town of Innisfil, and the Township of Oro-Medonte can offer anything near that low rate for such high exposure. In addition, we also give each business three promotional videos that they own, and can use on their website or social media, and we show the community that our member businesses care about local issues and regional charities. Your business is then seen to be working with local residents to make our shared community better. For more details visit www.cityofbarrie.net or call John at 705-828-5605.

The issue of returning to school is a controversial and very divisive issue. This video, produced through the City of Barrie Network, focuses on the interests of parents, educators, and school administrators who say we are not ready.
While some wallowed in self-pity over missed haircuts and days at the spa, others rose up to be heroes by contributing what they could to help others in any way possible. Thank you to all of our sponsors for helping the City of Barrie Network to make such local programming possible.
Our members of the City of Barrie Network are happy to support projects such as this fun little video that includes a twenty-foot rainbow winged unicorn floating like a very lost Nessie on Cooks Bay supporting our local LGBTQ community. Love is love.
