We need your help! We are almost 50% of the way there and have just 14 days to raise the money to build the first Mobile Urban Farm Unit. This is an all-or-nothing project that will allow us to bring more food to the community and build a model that can be used to bring local food to cities anywhere. Any little donation helps us to revolutionize our food system! https://www.kickstarter.com//citybeet/city-beets-mobile-ur
Wow, thank you so much for your generous contributions! We are 33% there in just 7 days, and are feeling the energy. Today we were selected as a "Project We Love" by Kickstarter, which was a warm surprise after braving the rain in the field while farming today. Tomorrow is 100% chance of rain and 50 mm for our big harvest day, so think of us when you are cozy and warm inside. We had another great pop-up farmers market in collaboration with The Federal Store this weekend. A successful kickstarter means more local veg in our Mount Pleasant community! We need your help! This year we doubled our growing space and are feeling the constraints of our limited urban farm infrastructure. Help us build the first Mobile Urban Farm Unit: a cooler, processing station and pop up farmers market. We plan to share the trailer with other urban farms in Vancouver and open source all design plans to so that it can be replicated by farmers anywhere to increase urban food security. No contribution is too little and appreciate all of your support in helping us work towards changing the food system!
