Greetings Friends ... *Please see the update at the bottom of this post* My cousin Ruth Klahsen came to supper at our house this past Sunday and we discussed her predicament. Ruth runs Montforte Cheese in Stratford and sells to many of Canada’s top restaurants and markets in Toronto. In short order her sales have vanished. She has had to lay off her employees. Montforte has cheese but no where to sell it. I have offered to lend her a hand. This Sunday March 22 from 10 am till 3 pm Ruth will be outside our Victoria City Cafe Bakery selling quarter rounds of her great cheese. These will be approximately 1 lb. each. You will be able to buy them at a wholesale cost of around $15. I’m asking you to help her out and get some wonderful cheese at a great price. Rules of engagement: -all cheese will be sold in prewrapped quarter round pieces of around 1 lb. - you get wholesale pricing. On average $15 per lb. - in lieu of present situation only 1 customer at a time is to approach her table. - if you are waiting please observe social distancing. - if you are paying with cash bring some 5s and 10s with your 20s to make making change easier. - no credit or debit cards but Ruth will take E-transfers.
