Dan and his wife Amber are fellow church planters and co-pastor Connect Church in Calgary. Together they bring such creative and inspirational energy to the body of Christ - it will be a real treat to hear from him, you won't want to miss it!

As we set out on a new year, we know that this will be a time of New Beginnings. We also know that we cannot do anything without God, there is work to be done and He has a plan for your life, all you need to do is walk with Him and let Him lead you!

You're not going to want to miss out on joining us for Zoom Church tomorrow at 10AM! Pastor Todd is going to be hosting a panel on mental health with Sarah Roberts and Ruth Vanderberg! Sarah is currently completing her Master's in Counselling Psychology at Adler University after earning a BA from SFU in Psychology and Counselling. She used to volunteer at the Fraser Health Crisis Line and is currently doing her practicum at a somatic trauma therapy centre as part of her train...ing to become a trauma counsellor. Sarah is called by God to this work and she is passionate about helping people who feel paralyzed from trauma move from surviving to thriving. Ruth is a mental health professional with her undergrad degree in Psychiatric Nursing and over 19 years’ experience in community and university mental health work. She is a woman of faith, a soft feminist, anti-racist and sees each individual as worthy of respect and value as a human being. She is mom to 3 adult daughters, the wife to a shy but hard-working man, her first love is coffee and her hobbies are to walk outdoors in nature and curl up with a good historical fiction novel. Her passion is to promote the intersection of faith and mental health and see individuals informed, feel empowered and thrive in their lives with or without mental illness.

This past Sunday Pastor Todd told us that we will be digging in to the advent season together through a shared reading resource. The Christmas Code is a daily devotional that will help us stay connected as a community while strengthening our individual relationships with God. Dr. Bonnie Henry's announcement today made it clear we will not be meeting in-person these next weeks. Our initial reaction? Our decision to declare a Sabbath Season was the right one! DREAM TEAMERS OF THE WEEK: Ben and Angie Loewen --- This week we're celebrating Ben and Angie, this is one incredible couple - Ben has been with us since we launched as City Life Kids Kids Director, with Angie joining him in marriage and sharing that role in ministry! They now have an amazing baby, Arden, and have embarked on a new and exciting season. We celebrate their faithfulness and love they've build an incredible kids culture.
