Taking a traditional exercise done with the support of a bench and moving in onto an unstable environment like a stability ball, recruits and activates muscles that may becoming sleepy on a bench. This exercise works the brain too; as it needs to communicate differently to all muscle groups to maintain balance throughout the exercise.
