The annual Premier’s Council Awards publicly acknowledge the efforts and accomplishments of individuals, groups, businesses and organizations to develop barrier-free, inclusive communities in Alberta. Meet Trever Eichelbaum, Award of Excellence winner in the Community category. Always an outside-the-box thinker, Trever began his career in journalism but soon realized his interests lay elsewhere. In 2000, Trevor joined MEDIchair, Canada’s leading provider of customized mobili...ty and accessibility solutions for children and adults. He quickly immersed himself in learning about home medical equipment maintenance and repair and became involved in the community as an advocate for people with disabilities. In 2017, he left MEDIchair and started his own company, Adapt Mobility, which is currently one of Medicine Hat’s largest home medical equipment suppliers. Trevor is the founder of the Medicine Hat Soap Box Derby, is involved in his local Army Cadet program and is also an enlistee with the Canadian Armed Forces. He has become a true pillar in the Medicine Hat community. For more information, please visit https://www.alberta.ca/premiers-council-awards.aspx
