During the Dynamic Dispatch hours: Rides must be booked through the MyRideNBT app or by calling the transit line at 705-474-0419 if they are located in the dynamically dispatched zone The south end of the city will be serviced by routes 8A and 8B, covering Marshall and Junction areas. Dynamically dispatched buses will not follow traditional fixed routes... Blue: Dynamic Dispatch Zone Green: Fixed Route Zone (Serviced by routes 8A and 8B) Note: Riders can request to travel from blue to green and the app will allow them to book an on-demand bus to a transfer point in order to reach their final destination. If traveling from the green zone to the blue zone, riders will need to book an on-demand bus when they arrive at the transfer point (Transit Terminal or Northgate Square) to complete the final leg of their journey. The City of North Bay is pleased to be stepping up this year to provide the space needed for the Pro-Cathedral of the Assumption’s annual Christmas Day Dinner at Memorial Gardens on Dec. 25. Organizers held a news conference today to announce that the dinner will be held despite the pandemic with the help of the City, the Gathering Place, Rebuilt Resources and other groups and volunteers.

Please be advised that the weigh scale at the Merrick Landfill will be out of service for several hours starting at noon on Saturday, Nov. 14 until closing at 5 p.m. This service interruption will allow for the installation of a new weigh scale. The landfill will be unable to accept commercial and double-axle vehicle loads during this time. The new weigh scale will operational when the landfill reopens on Monday, Nov. 16 at 8 a.m. The City of North Bay thanks residents for their patience and co-operation while this work is completed.
The design team for North Bay's new Community and Recreation Centre provided an update on the project, which is now shovel ready, to North Bay City Council during a Special Committee Meeting Tuesday evening. Futher discussions regarding the project are expected to take place as part of the 2021 budget process.

A reminder that winter overnight parking restrictions are now in place until April 15 in the Downtown Improvement Area from 3 a.m. until 6:30 a.m., on blocks containing cul-de-sacs and dead end roads from 3 a.m. until 8:30 a.m. and on all other streets from 3 a.m. until 7:30 a.m. Overnight parking is also restricted when snow removal signs are posted and during, or 24 hours following a snowfall. https://www.northbay.ca/.../parking/overnight-parking-bans/

Two sections of the Kate Pace Way will be closed for the next seven to 10 days while resurfacing is underway. This includes the section between Lakeshore Drive and Decaire Road and the section between Prince Edward Drive and Marshall Avenue. A detour has been established for the section between Lakeshore Drive and Decaire Road via Riverbend Road to Decaire.
George Maroosis, a former long-time municipal politican, was officially sworn in today as the newest member of North Bay City Council.
North Bay Transit will begin operating on an enhanced schedule starting Tuesday, Oct. 13th to provide an increased level of service for all users. Hours of service during weekdays will be extended on all routes in the evening by up to two hours and ajustments have been made to some routes in the morning.
