PLEASE STAY HOME | Port Colborne residents are asked to stay home as there is significant flooding across the City due to high winds and increased water levels along Lake Erie’s shoreline. There are also several trees and branches down around the area. Lake Erie’s water levels are approximately 9ft above normal, which is causing the wind to push the water inland. Because of this, the storm sewer systems are overwhelmed causing flooding throughout the City. City crews ar...e aware of the situation. Port Colborne Fire and Emergency Services are asking residents to stay home. If you absolutely need to leave your home, please use extreme caution and be mindful of fallen trees, branches, and flooding. Please be advised, Emergency Services are extremely busy during this time attending to multiple calls and are asking residents to stay home to limit potential issues.
