The Forestry Initiatives Program and the Canadian Mental Health Association are partnering to host free in-person and online information sessions to help improve the public’s sense of safety and wellbeing following the 2017 and 2018 wildfires. These sessions will focus on a variety of topics, including strategies for coping with anxiety, building resilience for overcoming challenges, and open discussions about the forest industry transition coping strategies that are available. Please be advised that with snowfalls of four inches or greater, the City of Quesnel removes the windrow of snow left by snow plows at the entrance to each driveway. It’s the responsibility of the homeowner to mark any obstructions that may be damaged by equipment clearing the driveway entrance (i.e.: retaining walls, planters, shrubs, decorative bricks etc.).
