The next evolution was in 1994 when the company represented Adobe and Macromedia as an authorized training center. We helped setup Vancouver Film School’s first multimedia program and curriculum using Director and Authorware. We also created multimedia curriculum and courseware for BCIT and Emily Carr, and taught several 3D animation courses at BCIT using 3D Studio and other Autodesk tools. ... What a ghastly logo. Not quite sure what we were thinking. I have to say though that my ongoing love of simple geometry was always at the core. I blame this on the myriad of books from the Bauhaus School of Design I read when studying architectural design in my late teens. I can’t get over how mad this logo is. I’m almost ashamed to post it.

Abject failure. No idea who the design team was for this but the creative director should be embarrassed beyond belief. Maybe they tried to save some money and used Fiverr instead of a creative team with some skill. How did the client not see this either?... Blind leading the blind.

City Sidewalk was approached on a business networking site by a company who offers competing SEO services. I explained to them that we are competitors and that from what I could see on their website the label 'competitor' was used gratuitously. They persisted and said that their President was responsible for Millions of dollars in increased client revenue and that they were a leading provider of SEO related services. Cleaning up some boxes that have not seen the light of day in quite some time. Here’s my logo and tag line from my first company when I decided to get official about running my own company. This is circa 1991-1992 ... It’s good to see that I’m still loving what we do and that the client’s image is still our business. KB Consulting & Graphics the seed I planted 30 years ago.

Just received an unsolicited sponsorship email from a 'competitor' in the marketing arena. This marketer has a 'celebrity' client with a very focused hockey podcast. They are hoping to drum up 'exclusive' sponsorship opportunities for the podcast and were asking if City Sidewalk had any client who might be a good fit. Alarm bells start ringing, they made the offer before any persuasive arguments were made....Continue reading
