Traffic lights. They make traffic safer of course. But they also make driving slower, frustrating. I read this article and got thinking. Let's move traffic lights inside cars, managed by AI outside. At 2am, the intersection gives your car a green light. In heavy traffic, it skips cycles when there's no car waiting left turns. The AI system recognizes pedestrians and gives them the right of way, giving them the number of seconds they need to cross. Someone somewhere should invent dashboard traffic lights.
