By now, you know that our lounge has been re-named as Ed's Place in honour of our beloved Ed Carroll. We can not WAIT to open up (safely) and celebrate all that Ed meant to us by having a drink at Ed's Place. We are also making a push at renting out our gorgeous lounge to the public to host weddings, celebrations, trainings, workshops, celebrations of life, you name it. If you can, please help us out by 'liking' our new Facebook page, Ed's Place, as well as sharing it with yo...ur networks. Every little bit counts towards getting our beautiful space seen by our community. We are continuing to showcase our fantastic makers from our craft show this week! Check all of them out at https://fb.me/e/4u1SssZkn! Meet Salena from Salena Draws! Salena Richard has been an active member of the art community for over 20 years. Experienced in acrylic based abstract painting, pencil portrait drawings, photography, and textile design, face painting and as a make up artist. Born in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Salena grew-up next to the Atlantic Ocean, drawing inspi...ration and solace from the sea. Through the soul calming colours and flowing designs within the acrylic works to the life-like accuracy of the pencil portraits, the diverse talents of this artist are clearly displayed. To order: https://ottawaartisans.com/pages/our-artisans/salena-draws ---------- Meet Tracy from Walking Foot Designs! Tracy began sewing in 1993, shortly after her first child was born with really no prior sewing experience and it quickly became her favourite hobby. Then, about eight years ago, she began sewing pillowcases as gifts to give to family and friends. She found she enjoyed making them so much that she started sewing more and more to sell at local craft markets. All of the pillowcases are standard size, made with 100% cotton, and finished with French seams to prevent from ever fraying. To order: [email protected] ------- Meet Gabika! Gabika is a retired IT manager with an artistic flair throughout her life. Painting on canvas with acrylics or oils was her way of expressing myself and viewing the life around her. Capturing the softness and delicate, vintage feeling of our childhood memories is something that she hopes is evident in her artwork. To order: [email protected]
