In 2019, CIVITAS Studio produced the master plan for the Ningbo Culture and Technology Port, a 80-hectare mixed-use port lands redevelopment project adjacent to Ningbo's historic city centre. The master plan reflects the site's industrial and employment heritage, balancing jobs and housing, transitioning the site from 'Sea Port to Knowledge Port’. At completion the development will include 5,000 homes, be home to 14,000 people, and provide 24,000 jobs. The Master Plan was Awarded Second Prize for the 2019 Ningbo Excellence in Urban Design Awards. Construction on phase one began in September 2019. https://vimeo.com/404680261

Responding to COVID-19 - A message to our friends and clients: Like many of you, we are taking the current situation one day at time and following advice from our provincial and federal governments. We want to assure you that we are keeping our projects running with minimal disruption. For the safety of our staff, our clients and our community we have adapted to the new situation. ... Most of our staff is now working remotely from home, with senior staff in the office part-time. We have stopped all non-essential travel. We have the ability to host virtual meetings using WebEx for our staff and clients.
