This post is from a friend of ours who has Cystic Fibrosis! Lorna and others are hoping to get the Sask government to help fund this much needed drug for people... like Hunter with the same gene mutation that has caused his CF. This drug could be a game changer for Hunter who qualifies for it but can’t get it do the cost! This is one of the first drugs for CF that helps with the underlying cause of CF not just help with effects! PLEASE SHARE and send Prayers to help make this possible! This is what has and is going to be happening at the Regina Legislative Building today in Regina. Please pray that the Saskatchewan Gov't approves the coverage of this needed drug to help those who qualify for it in our Province. I also know some that definitely qualify and need it right now! It is a matter of life and breath. Today we had a great day. We spent the day learning and prepping for all the private meetings we’re having tomorrow during the day and the private reception in the evening. Christopher and 2 other parents went and spoke with Don McMorriss. It was a real success. There was another team that spoke with a different MLA... and that’s all I’ll say about that one... . The rest of the day went very well. Tomorrow, Chris and I will be meeting with Trent Wotherspoon, and I will be meeting with Muhammad Fiaz and Todd Goudy. Chris will be meeting with Gord Wyant. In the afternoon, we’ll be sitting in on Question Period. There is an amazing mother daughter team from S’toon, Cassidy and her mom Kimberly- they do Cassidy’s Lemonade, and they will be having a special meeting with the Health Minister, Jim Reiter, and our Premier, Scott Moe. Our teams will be meeting with 27 MLA’s and the Premier and we have commitments for almost all of them to be joining us at a private reception in the evening. We’ve heard that this is pretty incredible, what CF Canada has done, to engage this many MLA’s like this. So, if you have a minute, we’d appreciate your prayers. We do need a miracle to get this drug to the 64 people in our province that need it, but, I know someone that’s good for those... . Thanks everyone.
