TODAY'S RECIPE: These CHARRED GARLIC SCAPES are such a fun side dish for any meal. They taste like garlicky green beans, sort of. I leave the bud on the scape, ...but you can remove it if you prefer. CHARRED GARLIC SCAPES So simple.in just 5 minutes, you’ll be enjoying a true summer delicacy! Garlic scapes, leaves removed Olive oil Salt, for sprinkling Finely grated rind of a lemon Preheat oven broiler. Line a cookie sheet with aluminium foil. Lay the garlic scapes on the foil. Drizzle with oil. Sprinkle with salt. Broil for about 2 minutes. When scapes are starting the char, remove them from the oven and turn them. Set them back into the oven until starting to brown. Watch carefully, the scapes can burn quickly. Total broiling time will be about 5-6 minutes. Grate over some lemon zest and serve. Anna Schaab
