CK Fire is working with our partners and monitoring the current weather situation. DOWNED POWERLINES: We are currently responding to a number of downed wires across the municipality. Assume that downed power lines are energized. Never try to move downed wires or remove tree limbs.... Keep people and pets at least 10 metres (33 feet, or the length of a school bus) away from downed overhead power lines and warn others of the danger. FLOOD WARNING: There is currently flooding along Erie Shore Drive in Chatham-Kent. There is water on many properties and around some of the homes. Floodwaters have made it onto the roadway in several locations. All non-essential traffic should avoid the area to ensure that municipal staff and/or emergency services can access the area if required. In case of an emergency - call 911
